owershift Corporation (Here referred to as “The Company”)decides the policy regarding handling individual customers’ private information as follows. Firstly, concerning customers’ private information.


1.Observance Of Laws

When The Company handles private information(that is, information which can be used to identify an individual person.),we observe the laws pertaining to private information protection as laid down in the Personal Information Protection Act of Japan.


2.Purpose

The Company shall not exceed the scope of the Purpose of Use stated in the Terms & Conditions unless it obtains the prior consent of the customer.


3.Disclosure Of Private Information To A Third Party

Private information will not be disclosed to a third party without obtaining prior permission of the customer except the case where it is required by law. Furthermore, The Company does not disclose private information by making use of the opt-out exception as detailed in article 23 paragraph 2 of the Personal Information Protection Law.


4.Security

The Company will endeavors to maintain accuracy and up-to-date private information but only what is required for its intended use. The Company has the necessary and appropriate security measures in place in order to prevent illegitimate access, leakage, alteration, destruction, damage etc. The Company endeavors to maintain and update the security measures as necessary.


5.Correspondance, Queries, Consultations

The Company will correspond appropriately in cases of disclosure, correction or alteration of private information, changes to services, opinions or inquiries regarding the handling of private information. The contact details are,

6.Continuous Improvement Of Company’s Internal Systems

  • Train employees on these new privacy rules and security measures.
  • Have employees sign confidentiality agreements or covenants, if necessary.
  • Review and revise work rules, if necessary.
  • Review contracts with third-party delegates to ensure that they contain provisions regarding the protection of the Personal Information.
  • Establish the section/person in charge of handling inquiries, complaints, and requests.
  • Review current data security practices and internal policies/rules and make sure necessary security control measures are taken.
